Coronary artery disease has been the overall leading cause of deaths across the globe. This leads many to want to know how can be done for the cause of reversing coronary artery disease. It is also good to know what some of the causes are in order to be able to prevent the onset and worsening of a condition of coronary artery disease.

High cholesterol and high blood pressure are two major causes of types of coronary artery disease. Cholesterol can build up in the blood vessels and lead to a condition that blocks the flow of blood to the heart. This is coronary disease and it can worsen if you do not start reversing coronary artery disease symptoms. Worsening of the condition can lead to angina when the cholesterol builds to the point where the heart is not getting enough oxygen and chest pains begin.

When the heart has become so weak that it no longer can pump blood to the heart, fluid builds up in the body tissues. This is what leads to a heart attack.

Besides high bad cholesterol and high blood pressure, other factors that contribute to the risk of developing a form of coronary artery disease are smoking, being overweight, not enough exercise and stress. Of course reversing coronary artery disease would entail improving upon all of these factors. If you have factors that put you at risk, it is best to address one factor at a time.

Benefits to the health of anyone, whether at risk for coronary artery disease or not include not smoking, keeping your body weight at a healthy level, regular exercise and a healthy low-fat diet. Taking these steps will not only reduce your risk of coronary artery disease, but also will reduce your risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure, some cancers, stroke and osteoporosis.
